Geographies (1):

JanSport is an American brand that produces backpacks and university clothes. Three friends, who were hippies and climbers, Murray Pletz, his girlfriend Jan Lewis, and Skip Yowell, founded the company in 1967. JanSport is currently owned by VF Corporation, one of the largest sewing companies in the world. Show more

The American JanSport brand has grown from a modest project to one of the world’s leaders in the production of backpacks and bags. Its products are affordable, while remaining functional and reliable.

In the 1970s, the company developed an innovative backpack design with panels and zippers to replace traditional “bags with a flap”. Since then, JanSport has released many noteworthy models and participated in collaborations with famous brands. For example, together with San Francisco-based graphic designer Benny Gold and the textile factory Pendleton Woolen Mills, they produced a series of backpacks and accessories inspired by Native American art. These products were characterized by rich textures and the brand’s world-famous quality.

There was also a separate JanSport x Benny Gold collection, which included a backpack that showcased the designer’s love for skateboarding and featured unique details, such as a roll pocket that was perfect for tools.

In collaboration with HippyTree, which specializes on collections for surfers and travelers, JanSport created three backpack models:

  • Watchtower: featuring polyurethane lining, a top flap with a zipper, a laptop compartment, and pockets for the water supply system;
  • Outbreak: featuring a traditional everyday design with a front zippered pocket and a laptop compartment inside;
  • Hatchet: featuring flap on belts, a polyurethane lining, a laptop compartment, and pockets for the water supply system.

A collaboration was launched with the HUF brand, founded by legendary skateboarder Keith Hufnagel, which included the most iconic JanSport backpacks with board mounts. Together with the New Zealand-based company I Love Ugly, JanSport launched the REILLY, RIGHT PACK DE, IRON SIGHT, AXIOM, and PLATFORM backpacks in gray felt. Collections were also launched with the brands LRG, Distinct Life x Naturel, Farm, Disney, and Pixar.

You can earn on JanSport backpacks by joining the official affiliate program.

Features of the JanSport Affiliate Program

JanSport does not produce classical travel backpacks with a huge capacity. Instead, the brand focuses on affordable, small backpacks that can also be used for travel. JanSport bags are well thought out and suitable for daily use as well as travel.

Despite the fact that JanSport is not a travel affiliate program, webmasters in reviews of the JanSport affiliate program note that the company’s backpacks are excellent for selling to travelers.

The only real disadvantage of the JanSport affiliate program is the limited delivery zone from the official store. Free delivery is available only in the USA. If your audience is from a country where delivery is not available, waiting for a high conversion is pointless. However, there is a solution. You can join the local affiliate programs or major stores, such as eBay.

If you try to offer JanSport backpacks to your audience, we recommend adding several options at once, not only from JanSport, but also from different manufacturers. In this case, you will be able to understand in practice if your audience is seeking this specific product. A wide selection will allow you to achieve a good conversion rate.

Join the JanSport affiliate program today and earn money on backpacks.
