Facebook has announced that on 30 June 2021, Facebook Analytics is going away. This will affect thousands of affiliates who drive traffic from Facebook. This doesn’t mean that you will be unable to drive traffic from Facebook after 30 June; however, after that date, there will be less data available about your traffic. We have compiled a list of possible alternatives in this article and are waiting for your opinion on how you will analyze traffic from Facebook.

What happened?

At the end of March 2021, Facebook announced that Facebook Analytics will cease functioning on 30 June 2021:

Facebook Analytics is Going Away by 30 June 2021

There is no official explanation as to why Facebook canceled their analytics service.

What to do?

You must download your data before 30 June 2021, as, after that date, all stored data will be deleted. You can export data in CSV or other formats by clicking the arrows in the upper right corner of the screen.

To track your traffic from Facebook, there are several tools you can use:

  • Facebook Business Suite – for managing accounts
  • Ads Manager – for setting up and viewing ads
  • Events Manager – for customizing Facebook tools for business

Unfortunately, external tools cannot be connected to the analysis of traffic within Facebook. However, these services cover almost all your tracking and analytics needs. Therefore, any work you perform using your traffic information should not suffer.

If you send traffic to a landing page or website, then the data can be obtained for your site using external analytics systems, such as Google Analytics.
